Matthew is the Founder and Managing Director of the practice, responsible for the overall strategic direction of the practice, overseeing operations and integration of the multi–discipline building services engineering teams.
His drive and enthusiasm has developed a very strong technical team, developing the business across a broad range of business sectors, as well as ensuring excellent customer satisfaction is maintained and developed to the highest standard. Actively involved in projects through all stages of the design and construction process ensures that Client and project aspirations are fully realised. Matthew’s background originally started out in Contracting meaning he has wealth of practical and design experience to draw from. Matthew has led many major projects, for developers, property owners and architects alike, providing specialist expertise in the design of energy-efficient building services systems; combined with the practical experience of understanding how these systems are fully integrated and installed into the building structure.
Michael is an Electrical Bias Technical Director in the practice, Head of the electrical department and responsible for overseeing the delivery of electrical designs produced by the electrical team. He also head of QA for the practice formulating and implementing procedures to ensure the highest quality of output.
With over 18 years of experience in the electrical building services industry he has worked on a number of projects in various sectors including Residential, Education, Health/Social care, Office and Retail just to name a few all ranging from refurbishments to large new build developments in excess of £50m. He also has experience carrying out condition surveys and feasibility studies to aid clients with their strategic operational planning. Michael has a solid technical awareness and in addition also provides technical guidance and input to our team of engineers and graduates. He has a pragmatic approach to building services design and a strong focus on energy efficient designs along with providing cost effective schemes which aids clients in the ever so financially competitive construction market.
Paul is a Senior CAD/Revit Technician specialising in MEP Projects and drawing production using both AutoCAD and Revit. He has developed a comprehensive understanding of MEP Services and their co-ordination having worked in the Building Services Industry for over five years.
Paul has worked on both refurbishment and new-build projects across a variety of sectors including hospitality, residential and commercial. Paul is responsible for the preparation and delivery of the MEP models and drawings using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
Paul champions the importance of sustainable engineering and design solutions, building upon his MSc in Sustainable Environmental Management. He has a keen interest in Digital Engineering and how it can improve efficiency.
Lastly, Paul has a great eye for detail and strives to provide models and drawings of the highest quality. With this in mind, he is constantly working to streamline the CAD/Revit procedures and processes.
Elly is responsible for operations at MEPS Consulting, whether that is raising an invoice or running internal reports, she is committed to helping our business be as efficient and streamlined as possible. With a background in Office Management and Logistics, Elly brings a calm efficiency to the office environment and is always keen to help colleagues and clients wherever possible.
When Elly isn’t working, she enjoys yoga, Pilates and general outdoor activities with her friends & family.
Paul has over 30 years experience across Building Services Design and Marine Engineering Design, furthermore with 15 years operational technology marine and building services engineering, including a Royal Navy Artificer Apprenticeship. In the 2014/5 academic year Paul studied Renewable Energy Engineering and achieved MSc.
Particular sectors in building services include residential large and high storey blocks, (new build, repurpose and refurbishment) and also high-end houses. Specialist in 4-5star hotels, also Speculative West End Cat A office buildings (new build and refurbishment) and Owner occupier / headquarter buildings (new build and refurbishment). Mixed Use developments inc with Cinema, and standalone-elements Fitness Centres, Retail, Restaurant. Light Industrial too. Paul started out as a designer in 1990 and has always specialised in decarbonisation of building services while using most the appropriate systems from a very large “toolbox”. Always a team player on behalf the Client, a respecter of time and budget, the design team and the delivery partners.
Daniel is currently studying Building Services Engineering (BEng Hons) at London South Bank University on day release while working at MEPS Consulting. His role is comprised of designing mechanical systems to suit the client’s needs, along with supporting the more senior mechanical engineers within the business. Daniel is enjoying the process of working towards becoming an Incorporated Engineer (IEng).
When Daniel is not working, he enjoys watching and playing different sports, he also has a passion for cooking and challenging himself with new recipes.
Ben started studying at London South Bank University in 2022. He is working towards a degree in Building Services Engineering. At work Ben specialises on the electrical side of building services engineering, where he assists the Senior Engineers with design work.
In his spare time, Ben enjoys going out for walks with his dog and socialising with friends.
As a sustainability consultant at MEPS Consulting, Joshua carries out compliance related calculations, models, analysis, and reports. This includes SAPS & SBEM, Dynamic Thermal Modelling and Thermal Bridging work. Joshua produces reports that include sustainability statements, energy strategy reports and overheating assessments. He is also involved in analysis and problem solving to improve designed or existing buildings performance. This includes building physics/passive building design.
Joshua enjoys any new challenges brought his way and thrives in identifying where sustainable building measures can be used. Outside of work, Joshua enjoys keeping active, reading, socialising, and gaming.
